Campeche Demonstration Project

The Biosphere Reserve of Petenes stretches along the Campeche coast.  This reserve contains some of the richest areas of biodiversity and is home to the unique Petenes-Mangroves-Seagrasses Ecosystem.  Though local disturbance is low and the area is part of a protected park, there have been recent changes in nearshore conditions, as well as an increase in farming activities.
